Last I spoke to Mr. Bernard Brown, was through Instgram. He was so stoked for being on a podcast and he was going to write a book about his life. He lived this human life for about one more month after passing away. I know this because his brother reached out to me on Youtube to tell me his big brother had passed away and that he was grateful to see the interview. Because of my interview with Bernard Brown, I've had the most listeners on my podcast. I felt something special with his spirit and soul and found we had a great connection. His energy, his love and his motivation inspired me so much.I am humbled to see his last "link in bio" post was our interview. RIP Mr. Weight Loss Champion Bernard Brown. Episode 76 Sessions With Lino: What is "Deadnaming"?
Although based on the technical definition, any person who changes their name and is then called by their former name is being deadnamed, the term deadnaming is not applicable for cis people. That's because it is known as a specifically harmful act towards people who are under the trans umbrella. Deadnaming is generally perpetrated by cis people, and rarely does a cis person's former name invoke the same level of pain or discomfort.https://www.verywellmind.com/what-is-deadnaming-and-why-is-it-harmful-5188575Tune in and find out how it pertains to me as a transman and how I have overcome it.
