It's been a long 5 months but Megan is back in action with a brand new interview featuring Bradley Simpson and James McVey of The Vamps. They talk the current climate in the UK, finding the positives of quarantine, how The Vamps formed (coming up on 10 years as a band), learning life lessons on the road at a young age, mental health, relationships and so much more. 

Recorded just before the quarantine took full effect Megan sat down with Matt Thomson, singer of the UK band The Amazons. They talk the inception of the band, the Alt music scene in UK vs USA, shooting guns, seeing an Amish person for the first time and how dissatisfaction always creates the best art. Kat Corbett grew up outside of Boston in an Irish Italian household feeling like a 'double kid.' Kat tells her story of how she landed at KROQ from her first gig learning how to edit sermons at a religious station to an internship at 101.7 WFNX in Lynn, Mass. Kat is also the curator and host of KROQ Locals Only, which has launched the careers of many successful artists today. Megan and Kat talk the importance of integrity, women supporting women, screenplay writing plus so much more. 

Jason Freese grew up in Placentia, California around a very musical family. Jason played saxophone in jazz band and then took up learning piano and music theory. As a professional studio musician Jason has played for the likes of Dr. Dre, Joe Walsh, Jewel, Goo Goo Dolls, The Interrupters and Green Day. Megan and Jason talk the importance of seizing opportunity, building relationships, recovery and so much more. 

For this very special 50th episode Megan talks to one of her favorite actors, the one and only Emile Hirsch. You know him from Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, Into The Wild, Lords Of Dogtown and so many films.  As of late Emile has been working on music. He released an album 'Mnemonic' under the moniker Hirsch which is one of Megan's favorites of 2019. In her youth Megan had a massive Mark McGrath poster in her room so getting to chat with him was a dream come true. As of late Mark went viral for the break up Cameo video, which we now know was a joke. Grammy and Emmy nominated comedian & actress Margaret Cho grew up in San Francisco, a city she believes shaped and molded her character. She began dabbling in comedy at the age of 14 and doing comedy skits in a troupe with Sam Rockwell. Megan and Margaret talk being responsible with technology, the climate of comedy in 2019, cancel culture, body pressures in the industry, overcoming an eating disorder, sobriety and more. 

Megan put on her first live podcast with the help of the beautiful Hoxton Hotel in DTLA.  She talked to very special guest Kevin Ryder of the iconic Kevin & Bean morning show on KROQ. They talk about his start in radio at KZZP in Phoenix where he met Bean and the journey to launching their show on KROQ which has spanned 30 years. They discuss career challenges, what band Kevin was accused of breaking up, Grammy seat stealing, bathroom stall interviews and getting inducted into the Radio Hall Of Fame.

Ilan Rubin is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter who grew up in San Diego. He joined his first band at age nine and by the time he was 21 he was playing drums in Nine Inch Nails. Megan and Ilan talk drum lessons with Travis Barker, Woodstock 99, playing 'The Perfect Drug' live, Angels & Airwaves and more. Courtney Friel grew up in Pennsylvania and from a young age knew that she wanted to be on the news.  From her crazy party days in college to now being sober for 10 years Courtney has a lot of wisdom to share. She was mentored by Lisa Ling, went on to work for Fox News and is now happily at home with KTLA. Megan and Courtney talk a day in the life of a news reporter, the joys and challenges of living sober and her forthcoming podcast 'Keepin It Friel'.

At just 23 years old Ali Macofsky is already opening up arena shows for Joe Rogan. At age 7 she was brought in as 'Little Ali' to do prank calls for Ryan Seacrest at KIIS FM. At 18 she began doing open mic's at the Laugh Factory and remember's getting advice and encouragement from Dane Cook.  Not long after that Ali got sober and put all of her focus into comedy. Chase Lawrence is the lead singer & synth player in the band COIN.  Although the band formed in Nashville, Chase was born and raised in West Virginia. Chase and Megan talk the current state of alternative music, making change in the world by starting in your community, the importance of listening and being open minded, how his dad's songwriting and musicianship inspired him and how fate inevitably formed the band. 

In this episode Megan and Brandon Jenner get candid, raw and philosophical. They talk about Brandon's journey as a musician and his new 'Plan On Feelings' EP.  They also discuss fear being an indicator of what direction to head toward in life, human experience vs. competing with technology, how odd and isolating fame can be, being of service to others and how his daughter changed his entire life's purpose.

Noelle Scaggs grew up in Southern California with an eclectic musical palette. In college she studied music business, later interned at Atlantic Records and began singing with artists like The Rebirth, Dilated Peoples, and Damian Marley.  Once she went to sing with Michael Fitzpatrick aka Fitz she knew that's where she belonged. Noelle & Megan talk the importance of artists knowing their rights, the beauty of vulnerability and the forthcoming new Fitz and The Tantrums album.

Megan and Jessica both grew up in Rancho Cucamonga, both destroyed their lives with drugs & alcohol and both got a second chance at living through recovery. At her worst Jessica was 78 lbs, with a staph infection and on the brink of death.  Today she has over 5 years sober, is working to help others in recovery, wrote a book she is shopping around called Human On Fire and is living a life beyond her wildest dreams. Megan was so inspired by Jessica's story she had to bring her on the podcast to share!   

Nick Wold grew up in beautiful Seattle, Washington listening to grunge and learning how to play the saxophone which would later lead him to studying Jazz at NYU.  It was in New York where Nick met his bandmate Nelson, later finding Jacob in CA and they formed the band DREAMERS. Megan and Nick talk depression, God, The Beatles, breakups, living in the moment, playing a concert on Mars and more.
