Following one of those famous lost episodes that every good podcast seems to have, we return in 2015 a little later than anticipated with a chat to CSN Bay Area's 49ers insider Matt Maiocco. We discuss everything from the Coaching staff changes, free agency, the draft and we touch on some Bay Area sports talk to top it off. Thanks for downloading and listening. Following a third consecutive defeat for the 49ers, and a second in recent weeks to the Seahawks, the gang discuss all the salient events from their latest match-up before lively debating what kind of personnel changes should be made in Santa Clara to help the team move forward again next season.

After running for the hills following the 49ers heart-breaking Thanksgiving Day loss to Seattle, the gang return from their hiding place to discuss the important issues of the week, such as whether Derek Carr wears guy-liner, whether Blaine Gabbert is a Real American and whether Colin Kaepernick will ever give a good press conference, because dissecting the defeat against the Raiders would just be too much to cope with!

Happy Turkey Day! This week the gang take a quick-fire look back at the 49ers’ return to the west coast, and a nail-biting 17-13 victory against Washington. There is also just about time to discuss the regression of the offense and the challenges the team needs to overcome to successfully reach the playoffs, before we all run off to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner and a day jam-packed full of football action, which concludes with the visit of Seattle to Levi’s.

The gang celebrate another road win as the 49ers come away from New Jersey with a defense inspired 16-10 victory to help move the team onto a 6-4 record. “7’s not 3’s” is still the battle cry though as we chat about how a lacklustre offense only managed to notch up three field goals during four trips into the Giants’ red zone, and also discuss how a solid victory against Washington is desperately required with two matchups against Seattle looming large.

Revenge really is a dish best served cold as this week the gang are inspired by Ahmad Brooks patiently waiting a year to see poetic justice served as he helped to set up a 27-24 overtime victory in New Orleans with a late strip-sack of Drew Brees. There is also some debate about just who is the 49ers’ Mr. 3rd Down, is it Anquan Boldin or Michael Crabtree?     

It’s a déjà vu debacle this week as the gang discuss yet another poor performance against St Louis and debate just who is responsible for the current problems in Santa Clara. There is also some reflection on the sad news surrounding Marcus Lattimore’s forced retirement from professional football, and we also give our mid-term grades on the 49ers performance so far this season.  

The gang have finally got over their jet lag following the trip to the United States and return to reflect on the 49ers scoring 24 unanswered points during the Monday Night Football win in St Louis, before crashing back down to earth as Peyton Manning ripped apart a badly injury-depleted defense in the Mile High air of Denver. In the words of Coach Harbaugh though, “Onward, we’ll rally” as we then look forward to the return visit of the Rams and some potentially tricky matchups beyond.

After Chicago rudely ignored the pre-planned script for the grand opening of Levi’s Stadium on Sunday Night Football, the gang (and special guest Steve ‘Panda’ Richardson) gather their thoughts and try hard to look on the bright side of the 49ers being sat at 1-1, instead of what should really be, 2-0. There is also a lightning quick look forward to the 49ers’ visit to Arizona, a game which sees 49er Faithful UK being represented in person by your favourite podcasters.

Competitive football is finally back so the gang jump in head first and reflect on the 49ers visit to Dallas where we saw Tony Romo go full Romo (and you never go full Romo!) as San Francisco completely dominated the first half and started the season with an easy 28-17 victory. There is also a look forward to the very first regular season game at Levi’s Stadium as the Chicago Bears visit for Sunday Night Football.

With the start of the regular season just hours away, the gang manage to squeeze two season previews and a Faithful Fan Feature into one regular size podcast. 49ers beat reporter Matt Barrows talks about the pre-season programme, Laurence Okoye and the turf at Levi’s Stadium before we complete our tour of the UK by heading up to Scotland to chat with Gary Smith about what we can expect to see from the 49ers during the forthcoming season.
