One of my pet peeves is seeing people who want to get a new job or start a new business who are buying programs, going to expensive conferences, paying for software and web design, joining expensive masterminds for an extended period of time – and not making money. Always getting ready. “Getting cooked in the squat” as Zig Ziglar told in his story.  Episode #752 November 20, 2020 Hi this is Dan Miller – and yes you’re listening to the 48 Days Radio show – where each week we take 48 minutes to dive into real life questions about finding your passion, deciding what kind of life you want to live – and then finding or creating work that allows you to show up every day, excited to be able to do something that is meaningful, fulfilling – and profitable.  This is where normal, indecision and ambiguity come to die.  Welcome to the 48 Days Radio Show. Questions: How can we keep our traditional education establishments from choking out our youth’s creativity and innovation? Not everybody is cut out to be an entrepreneur. There’s no shame in that. Understanding yourself is the first step. Ask yourself these 18 questions to determine if you have what it takes to be an entrepreneur. How can we learn to love uncertainty? I set my goals where I have a 50/50 chance of meeting them. To set your goals for the new year, get my free goal-setting workbook here. We all have to decide if we want to be a leader or a manager. There’s nothing wrong with either one. Uncertainty is a mindset. What do you recommend for a guy that likes his job but realizes there is no future in the company? You have to have three legs on a stool to succeed in a business. The three legs of the stool are: passion, talent and money. It sounds like you don’t have passion for your job. You are headed for burn-out. It’s time to draw a line in the sand and start finding or creating work that you love (that has all three legs on the stool) What do you predict in terms of changing work models for this brave new world? Some employers are finding that they can be equally as productive from home, but they are losing their creativity and innovation to move forward. But many have found that they’ve broken some old habits in the traditional work model. Why can’t I listen to my wife and just be content with what is successful? Remember that three-legged stool: passion, talent and money. You need to have the passion to be successful long term. You may experience burn-out, which can manifest in different ways. If you’re passionate about something, figure out how you can do it so you do make money. Often you need to take a unique approach and stand out.
