The Stages of Life May Vary

Some listeners are discouraged based on the Stages of Life we discussed last week, feeling like they are behind the game and may never catch up. I remind you I was thrilled to get back up to zero net worth at age 53. It was then I started doing the things I’m known for today.

Episode #737 July 31, 2020

Hi this is Dan Miller – and yes you’re listening to the 48 Days Radio show – where each week we take 48 minutes to dive into real-life questions about finding your passion, deciding what kind of life you want to live – and then finding or creating work that allows you to show up every day, excited to be able to do something that is meaningful, fulfilling – and profitable.  This is where normal, indecision and ambiguity come to die.  Welcome to the 48 Days Radio Show.

Questions:

What if you have multiple business ideas?

This is an awesome place to start. Very quickly filter those through what you know about yourself down to three of four ideas. Then do a little more research, create a plan and act.

Do that in less than 48 Days.

That doesn’t mean you can’t come back to one of the other ideas later, but focus on one right now.

How should I proceed with my invention related to guitars?

What is the biggest advantage in today’s market place to help us make money?

It’s finding something where you can create residual passive income.

I‘m trying to figure out what I can offer that people would pay for.

Don’t focus just on what people will pay for, but focus on what interests you the most.

Even if you have a great product or service, you also have to be very intentional about putting it in front of people who will buy it.

You need to have:

  • a hook
  • tell a story
  • provide a call to action
I already work 2 jobs, how do I work on other aspects of my business when my time is so limited?

Look for something that you can move from linear to residual income (something you can do one time and get paid 1,000 times).

  • Phase Three – Be limitless. (Your Truth)
  • Phase Four – Invent a better future. (Your Vision)
  • Phase Five – Never ever give up. (Your Mission)

In the meantime, send me your big dream – and what you’re doing to make it a reality.

They were told to get their heads out of the clouds; they didn’t listen.

We can do this together – yes, without buying another course!

Check out last week’s podcast on the 5 Stages of Life Development as it relates to your career.

Here are a few notes on those after seeing some of your responses:

  • The most important thing you can do is what you’re doing now.
  • Be intentional about making this stage of life meaningful.
  • The most important time in your life is NOW.
  • You can step out of your history. You can become the director, producer, choreographer, and hero of your own story.
  • The most important person is the one you see in the mirror every morning.
  • And remember, “Potential unexpressed turns to pain.” Robin Sharma
