Welcome into episode 2 of season TWO(FIVE), the official Toronto Raptors podcast. Your 2019 Champions 25 years in the making. For this week we got a chance to catch up with someone who defines the term 'fan favourite', Jerome Williams aka JunkYardDog. With career averages of 7.9 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 1.3 spg in 180 games with the Raptors, JYD was a key contributor for the iconic 2001 Toronto Raptors playoff run. Not only did he lay it all out on the floor, he brought the energy every night like no other. JYD had so much love for Toronto from the jump, the man packed up and drove through a snow storm immediately after he heard he was traded, just to make his first practice with the Raptors.

On our very first episode of Season TWO(FIVE) of your Toronto Raptors official podcast, we are pleased to be joined by one of the most successful coaches in Raptors' history. Sam Mitchell. Sam laid the ground work for the franchise winning its first ever Atlantic Division title. He was also the first coach of the year winner for the Toronto Raptors organization. At the time, he held the best regular season record for this team and still currently has the second most wins in all the 25 years. But what really sets Sam a part from the rest was his ways of connecting with the players he coached.

Alexisonfire has show dates coming up in June but he may have to cancel them if the Raptors are in the hunt for the NBA Finals. Dallas has been a true Raptors fan since day 1, he gives us his all-time favourite players, his most memorable moments watching in the arena, his thoughts on Kawhi's playoff outlook, and what he would do if the Raptors won it all. Akil aka 'King France' and Matt aka 'Walk-on Anguish' go back and forth on their top artists of each genre, how they came up with their ridiculous artist/group names, and both guys apparently have a history in rapping.. do not try and look that up! This week on Raps unPublished the official Toronto Raptors podcast, we keep International Women's Day going! A good friend of ours Tamara Tatham joins the show. Tamara is the first-ever Canadian woman on a G-League coaching staff. She spoke on her current role with the Raptors905, learning from head coach Jama Mahlalela, her days playing overseas, and representing the Women's Senior National Team with two Gold Medals. Akil is back and Matt's happy to have him.. sort of. Akil missed out on International Women's Day so he had to shout out his older sister for being the most important person in his life. Also, the guys discussed their all-time top 5 cereals.

It's no secret the athletic gene runs in the Nurse Family! We highlight Kia's best moments so far in her career, from her NCAA days all the way to her playing professionally in Australia. Kia explains the motto she lives by, and also tells us about her basketball initiatives for young female athletes. No Akil, no problem as Randy Urban joins Matt in studio and they shout out the strong women that have impacted their lives. Randy learns he can relate to Kia on sibling rivalries, and Matt has unknowingly been living by the same motto as Kia; Respect All, Fear None.

We are finally back! What a busy month it was for your Toronto Raptors. This week on the Raps unPublished podcast we got the OG's of podcasting themselves, Tas Melas and J.E. Skeets of The Starters. These guys are never shy of being Raptors homers. Matt caught Tas and Skeets in Charlotte during All-Star weekend, they look back on their favourite All-Star moments as media members and also how they turned The Basketball Jones podcast to an NBA TV broadcast. Akil and Matt look back at their 2016 All-Star weekend experience in Toronto, share their thoughts on how the new Raptors are fitting in, and they react to The Oscars.

On this week’s episode of the Raps unPublished podcast the crew is joined by the #1 Raptors fan in the world, you know him and love him as the 'Superfan' Nav Bhatia. Nav talks about the benefits and drawbacks of committing to his hardcore fandom, he takes it way back on his most memorable moments courtside, and gives insight on this year's late season run. Matt almost misses the podcast thanks to his pal Augustus but made it just in time to make Akil jealous. Also, Akil and Matt name their closest Raptor relationships over the years.

From one borough to another, we catch up with Danny Green on the Raps unPublished podcast. Danny has been spending time in Ontario longer than you know, he takes us through his early days of NY to now. He tells us what it was like playing street ball in NY, getting ready for his post-basketball career, and his snakes. Akil and Matt know a thing or two about trash talking, at least towards each other. They guys share their secret spots in southern Ontario and having pets. Patrick is NOT related to Dikembe, but he is also a former player turned teacher and mentor. He credits a lot of his leadership qualities to Masai Ujiri while coaching together during their time with the Giants of Africa camps. Akil and Matt backup the importance of mentorship, especially through some of their toughest times. And they look back on when they first met Masai working for the Toronto Raptors organization.
