Monert was apprehended in 2012 and was living in Haywood, CA when cold case detectives matched fingerprints left at the crime scene to Monert. Monert's victims were all females and were killed between 1989 and 1991. all three victims were beaten to death with a hammer. Monert was convicted in 2016 and is now serving sentences of Life Without the Possibility of Parole for Murder with special circumstances.
