SBG 023: The Changing Face of NASCAR with Brett Jewkes
Nov 18, 2014
Brett Jewkes joined me on the SBG podcast this week. Brett is the Chief Communications Officer of NASCAR and he's really good at making sure you don't know who he is. The more invisible he and his team can be, the better job they're doing.
For the past 3 years, Brett has been tasked with a very large "Coming of Age" project in which he's lead a transformation to help NASCAR stay relevant in the digital age. In that time, NASAR has indeed become more mainstream than they ever have been before & built on their strong foundation of fans & spectators. Prior to joining the NASCAR team, Brett was a Managing Partner at Alan Taylor Communications where he worked with some of the biggest brands & properties in the world.
Brett & I jump into his surprising & wonderful story where he has built in a success career in the face of obstacles that almost cost him his life. Buckle up. We're about to go fast!
Specifically we jump into:
Brett's entry into crisis communications
