Listen with courage!
Few years ago, right after moving to the UK, due to lack of language skills and connections I landed a job of human dishwasher or so-called kitchen porter.
Tough battles against never-ending piles of dishes were much easier to fight with support of great minds talking in my headphones.
Even though I don't professionally fight the dishes now, I still put my headphones on whenever I can, so I could listen to either audiobook or podcast.
This is how I was introduced to the work of Tim Ferris, Derek Sivers, Alain de Botton and Neil Gaiman. People whom I admire and whose work has had a big influence on my life.
We need good ideas. And the fact that we live in the digital age and are able to listen to them while doing other things and still being productive makes us very lucky.
It's a great start Thor. I wish you and your guests lots of courage to express those dangerous ideas, as well as persistence to fight all the blocks that creative work is always accompanied by.
Keep it up!

I'm a writer myself and I love listening to Thor's guests offer their valuable insights on writing, especially since they are all from wildly different writing backgrounds

Listen up, writers!
Write with Courage is a podcast about writing, presumably aimed at aspiring writers, but it’s far more entertaining than that might sound. Thor is an affable, good-humoured host who allows his guests to talk freely about their work, their routines and how much coffee they drink. The interviews with Scott Adams and Nick Cohen – both of whom mentioned receiving death threats, bizarrely – are enjoyable and engaging, with countless bits of inspiration and good advice for anyone who tries to put pen to paper (or words on a blank screen). WWC doesn’t waste your time: it’s straight to the point, there are no lengthy intros, theme tunes or product endorsements; it’s just good, lively conversation with imaginative questions and interesting stories. Having said that, a quick introduction telling us a little bit about the guest and their work would be good. We all love Dilbert, and I’ve read Nick Cohen’s work in the Guardian; without that background knowledge I’d probably have been wondering who these writers were. (I’d still have learned a few things, though.) Well done to all concerned – I look forward to hearing how this show develops over future episodes!
