The Shape of Water (2017), fantasy/romance, directed by Guillermo del Toro. At a top secret research facility in the 1960s, a lonely janitor forms a unique relationship with an amphibious creature that is being held in captivity.
We discuss the film (spoilers start at 29:00), how Usama LOVED it and Justin 'liked it a LOT' but felt it was COMPLETELY SPOILED BY THE TRAILER (how do you give away EVERY SINGLE PLOT POINT in a TWO MINUTE trailer?! YOU DUNCE!) and how people (idiots) SEEK OUT spoilers these days (instead of watching films, do you ever consider suicide as an option?), how people definitely left the theater after this flick being like "it's 2018 and you should be able to have sex with a humanoid sea-creature if you want!" (should you? let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org! **Or just hit us up if you're like "it's 2018 and you should be able to have sex with a hobbit or emancipated orphan if you want!), and Justin tells the story of how he got so into video games (HINT: he broke his leg and couldn't leave the house for months! YIKES!)
Free love ya'll! (With humans!)
Next week - Logan (2017)!
