Episode Info: The Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival runs from July 16 to 27th with over 170 companies from around the world performing within 30 venues. Fringe features a variety of comedy, improv, musicals, dance and children's performances. Aaron Simm and Steve Locke are two of Winnipeg's most celebrated slam poets. Together, they have taken on theatre for their first Fringe show, Hell is Other People. Locke plays a dramatized version of himself while Simm acts as the devil and angel on his shoulders. Mary-Jo Dionne is a writer, dog-lover and humorist. Her first Fringe show, Glowing: A Reproduction Production, tells the tale of her pregnancy as an uphill battle. The comedic journey takes you through everything from morning sickness to melanoma.
