Everyone watches the Olympics and it is easy to appreciate the level of skill of any athlete competing there but it is hard to understand the journey each athlete has taken to get there by just watching their final performance. We are going to look at the behind the scenes stuff and try understand the years of work and dedication, the Glory and the Hardships an athlete endures to have a chance at standing on the greatest sporting stage in the World.

In this episode we sit down with Andrew Grant (AJ), who is a senior coach for the South African Rowing team.
Not only will we discuss the insights and experiences from his time as a coach but also from his time as an athlete; finding out how these experiences have shaped his journey and the hard yards that many have to face to achieve success. In this episode we cover everything from near misses back at school days to spending half a week in the Abu Dhabi Airport babysitting athletes then to his high expectations as a national coach and his coaching philosophy.
