Exactly what a Tolkien podcast should be!
Seriously -- the right blend of scholarly knowledge and funny banter! Alan and Shawn know their stuff, but don't take themselves too seriously -- and they know when to have a little fun with the source material, too. If you're even a little bit of a Tolkien fan, you owe yourselves the time to give this podcast a try. Can't wait 'til they get to the more 'accessible' works like The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, but their work on The Silmarillion has been spectacular!

An amazing journey so far, thrilled to think that there is so much more to come. An incredibly comprehensive podcast, brilliantly examining the work of Tolkien with extraordinary knowledge, emotion and humour.
