Episode Info:

In this episode, Jess sits down with Erin Simas, registered nurse, Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, and creator of the Blood Sugar Balancing Method to chat why your blood sugar may be wrecking havoc on your health!  Blood sugar dysfunction can show up anytime and in a variety of different ways - affecting your energy, hormonal, or sleep issues in addition to so many other things!  In this Part One episode, we touch on the basics of blood sugar regulation, how your body regulates your food intake, and how it can affect you.  Stay tuned for Part 2 when we take a deeper dive into how it affects fertility!

Erin is a Registered Nurse, Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, creator of the BSB Method and mom to a one-year-old and three-year-old. She previously worked as a nurse with patients who were suffering from spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, strokes, and other neurodegenerative diseases before realizing that she wanted to be able to intervene in people's health journeys much earlier on. This led her to start her own in-person and online nutrition practice. Currently, she works with clients struggling with blood sugar dysfunction that typically shows up as energy, hormonal or sleep issues. She also works with parents of kids who have eczema and are looking to heal it from the inside out, using a natural, root cause approach.
