Winds of Opportunity with Andrew Swapp, North American Wind Research and Training Center
You think you can climb a wind turbine? Well Andrew Swapp, program director and instructor at the North American Wind Research and Training Center, wants to put you to the test. The Wind Center, located in Tucumcari, New Mexico, trains students to become wind power technicians and has an industry standard turbine on campus.
Swapp will tell us just what kind of person is best equipped for a job in wind power, the trials and tribulations of climbing a turbine, and what makes this program so unique.
Also, we have a very special co-host. Who is it? Why would I spoil that in the episode description? C'mon give me a little credit here.
