This episode is a summary of the narrative found in Exodus Chapters 21 through 28. Chapter 21 through 23 details many of the laws given by God to Moses. Laws concerning slavery, violence, property, rampaging oxen, restitution, breaking and entering, destroying crops, and the like. Also, laws concerning the lending of money, religious laws, three mandated festivals, In Chapter 24, Moses relays these laws to the people, and writes them down in the Book of the Covenant. It is in Chapters 25 through 28 that God tells Moses how he should be worshiped. He details the Ark of the Covenant, the Tabernacle, along with everything in it, the courtyard that will surround the Tabernacle, and the priests clothing. All in great detail. Next week, I’ll continue the summary of Exodus, starting in Chapter 29. After listening, let me know what you think.
