Episode Info: Self-criticism is that nagging voice in your head telling you that you can't do anything right and you are to blame for everything that goes wrong. At some point in your life, you have had some kind of negative thoughts about yourself. There are some things you can do to recognize when you have these thoughts and ways to combat them. 1. Notice when it happens. 2. Question yourself. 3. Use different words to describe your experiences. 4. Accept it as feedback and not as failure. 5. Refuse to give yourself a bad time about it. Now that you know how to work on the feeling when you do have them, here are some steps to take to prevent those negative feelings from happening in the future. 1. Praise yourself. 2. Use positive affirmations. 3. Repeat the positive affirmations. 4. Notice the good stuff. 5. Create an environment that involves risk taking.
