Episode Info:

Parliament is a strange, hectic place and the public rely on the Press Gallery to make sense out of what those politicians are trying to do to them.

Two of the best are TVNZ's Jessica Mutch and Newshub's Tova O'Brien, seasoned veterans of the gallery who have recently been crowned political editors of their respective media outlets.

The pair have followed similar career paths, spending several years reporting on politics before heading off for a tour of duty as European correspondents.

We sat down at The Malthouse with Tova and Jess to talk war stories from Europe, some x-rated conversations about tuatara and Camilla Parker-Bowles, plus their thoughts on Lord Commander Winston, new mum Jacinda and National's great white hope Simon Bridges.
