Many time those in authority tell us to do things that may cost you time, money or worst yet cause you to be embarrassed due to being called out in public. How do you deal with those times where you and the person in authority or maybe even that inspector that you need his approval to pass you work before you can move on? This many times turn into a battle and escalate into verbal of sometime get physical. The first thing we all need to remember is that everyone has a boss. I have heard some say I work on my own and I have no boss well I beg to differ. Your client/customer is the one that is your boss they may choose not to pay because they do not feel you did the work according to what was agreed upon. I am an electrical consult/Inspector myself and I have to answer to the client when something that the contractor installed incorrectly. So how do you deal with conflicts or issues when they arise.
