From the MyLink home page, touch the word “Telephone.” Here you’ll see a large keypad, a signal strength indicator, the name of the phone and remaining battery charge as well as large buttons for “phone book” and “call history.” Whenever you open “Telephone”, or any MyLink menu, you can return to the previous menu by pressing the “crooked arrow” at the top left of the screen or, touch the “home” icon button on the control panel to return to the home screen. The button with the green handset let’s you initiate or answer calls while the red handset button is used to end or decline calls. The phone book and call history functions are automatically updated with the latest version of the phone book and call history you have on your phone at that time. When a call is in progress, two icons will appear at the right of the screen. Touch the “private mode” icon to transfer a call to your phone’s handset or, a hands-free headset – which is a much better choice if you’re in a moving vehicle. Pressing the “mute” button allows you to maintain your phone connection, but prevents the caller from hearing you. You can also use the steering wheel controls to control telephone functions, accepting/rejecting calls from the wheel.
