Episode Info: This week I had the pleasure of interviewing a fellow HCI graduate, Debbie Thompson, owner of Breakthrough Wellness Coaching. Debbie is a health & life coach specializing in helping professional women over 40 loose weight permanently, heal emotional & binge eating, and stop being held back by fear. Debbie has been helping people live their own Cinderella story for over 30 years as a social worker, community mentor, leadership development professional, and now coach. Her clients have called her to approach backslide-proof and game-changing. After struggling with eating disorders in her teens and early 20's she found permanent recovery. Then she found herself in a different kind of food struggle when she turned 40 and her body changed. Not only did she gain weight steadily even though she wasn't doing anything different, but she developed gout, digestive issues, trouble sleeping, cravings, and pain walking up and down the steps. Cutting calories and exercising didn't make any difference. At 46 she found the right information for weight loss over 40. Little did she know it would clear up all of her physical symptoms too. Throughout her life, Debbie also struggled with fear and then found freedom from that during this time too. When she learned about coaching, she felt like it had her name written all over it. She thinks of herself as a habit whisperer, food hacker, and mindset shifter. It's Debbie's mission to help women remove and transcend food and fear issues so they can take all that energy and go live to the full. This week we take a deeper dive into emotional eating as she shares her tips to break the emotional eating cycle. If you are an emotional eater or know someone who is you will want to tune into this podcast. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Don't forget to subscribe to my podcast on iTunes, Stitcher, Google Play, or Soundcloud.
