Episode Info: Summary: In this second episode, you will be hearing Mathematics Education expert Dr. Steven Greenstein talk about how to help your child fall in love with mathematics, how to challenge your child in math at home if you feel that he/she isn't challenged enough in school, how to create a culture of math in your family life and how to begin to speak the language of math with your kids. Expert Bio: Dr. Steven Greenstein likes to think about mathematical things... and how people think about mathematical things. He earned bachelors and masters degrees in mathematics and a doctoral degree in mathematics education. He was a high school math teacher for 7 years and is now an Assistant Professor of math education at Montclair State University where he prepares our children's teachers for elementary math teaching. In the context of math education, he is interested in issues of inquiry, equity, and social justice.
