This week I had the privilege of speaking with Dr. William (Bill) Stobb. Dr. Stobb was my creative writing professor when I was working on my undergraduate degree.  He was, believe it or not, the first person I knew to have actually published a book of poetry.

Personally, I have a long history with poetry. I was writing poetry long before I knew anyone else who did it. When I was young and trying to figure things out, it was a great outlet for me.  Poetry was the first form of writing I ever took seriously on a personal level.

I’m grateful to have had the opportunity of study writing with Bill, and I’m glad to to share some of his wisdom.
