A few weeks ago, I had  listener reach out and tell me that they have been struggling with anxiety, and they wanted some tools to help them manage their anxiety a bit better.

I think that we experience anxiety in two major ways: mentally (worry about the present or the future) and physically.

When we experience anxiety we are in the “fight or flight” state. To relax and get calm,  we need to flip our system to the parasympathetic system (rest and digest).

Our primary goal is to signal safety, and we can do that by transforming our thoughts and putting the body into a different state through relaxation and breathing.
