Because I’m talking about the sorry state of human beings and the way they talk to and treat each other these days. Individual desires trump everyThing AND everyOne else. If your selfishness takes you that far behind the dark door, it has become your sacred heart. Don’t trust your sacred heart. You and I are flawed, sinful people. All you gotta do is read social media threads to know that. But I suggest reading something much more rewarding. A book with an awesome plot twist. The only book in the history of the world that can help you understand what’s truly sacred. And what is that? It’s not your cause. Not your candidate for office. It’s not your favorite entertainer. (even if he or she proclaims the name of Jesus) Not movie makers. Or even a beautiful building to hang out in on Sundays. Everything in this world is worthy of being tossed in the fire and consumed. And everyone in this world will lie, let you down, and break your heart. At least once. But you were fearfully and wonderfully made. By a Creator who wants to love you forever. And He’s so awesome that He’s given you the choice to be with Him or not. He hopes (and so do I) you’ll want to be with Him in Heaven forever. But He won’t make you go there if you’d rather exist in your own selfish hate forever. You can be the “ruler”...
