With the hopes of initiating and improving opioid addiction treatment, the American College of Emergency Physicians will be offering an Emergency Medicine focused Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Waiver training at their annual Leadership and Advocacy Conference, Wednesday May 8, 2019 from 1:00PM- 5:00PM and Thursday May 9, 2019 from 8:00AM-12:00PM. This eight-hour course is open to all physicians, residents and medical students eligible. You do not need to be an ACEP member in order to participate in this opportunity.( ACEP Members: $150 • Non-Members: $200) Tune in as Dr. Matt Birnholz discusses this learning opportunity for all healthcare professionals with one of the instructors of the course, Dr. Eric Ketcham, who has witnessed a growing number of patients in the emergency room suffering from opioid withdrawal.
