Episode Info: So I have completely misspoke about the end of our summer produce. We will once again have peppers, tomatoes and strawberries in this week’s box. With the rainy weather, I think that are perfect additions to chili or soup. The first soup/stew/chili (depending on what you want to call it)recipe I am including has an interchangeable ingredient and then you can add in meat if you like (even leftover turkey) or leave it vegetarian. Our new vegetable of the week is our Napa Cabbage. This vegetable works great in many applications from salad and coleslaw to stir-fry. You can check out the Chicken Chow Mein recipe on the website, and I am including a non-traditional coleslaw recipe here. The third recipe is one of my favorite from last year, Roasted Cauliflower Gratin. Feel free to omit the breadcrumbs or cheese if you have a special diet. I will be happy once everyone roasts cauliflower and forgets about steaming and boiling this poor vegetable that has been abused for so many years. If you are up on the latest cooking trends, like turning cauliflower into things like rice or pizza crust, just a reminder that you can add extra to your order on the web store, we will have a lot through the winter.
