About This Show
Ear Hustle brings you stories of life inside prison, shared and produced by those living it. The podcast is a partnership between Earlonne Woods and Antwan Williams, currently incarcerated at San Quentin State Prison, and Nigel Poor, a Bay Area artist. The team works in San Quentin’s media lab to produce stories that are sometimes difficult, often funny and always honest, offering a nuanced view of people living within the American prison system.

I have seen life from a completely different view
Whoever you think the people in prison are, you're probably wrong! I have learned so much of how different, yet similar, all the paths to prison are! And I have not heard 1 person, blaming anyone else for their situations. Instead I have heard cautionary tales, funny tales, sad tales, shocking tales. I have also come to believe that long prison sentences, don't make us safer or better off. It does make us build bigger and more plentiful jails! There has to be a better system! We have to create a better system. Because the most important thing I have learned on this show, is that the things that have led so many of the people to prison, ARE CONTINUING UNABATED!

Great podcast. Very interesting approach from two very different hosts. They go well together, tell good stories with humor, even the sad ones. They make us interested in what goes on inside prison, and show us that everybody is human.
