Episode Info: Christine Zhang just joined the Financial Times as a data journalist on the US elections team for 2020. Previously, she was a data journalist at The Baltimore Sun, where she used numbers, statistics and graphics to tell local news stories on a variety of topics, including police overtime, homicide patterns, population demographics, local and statewide politics — and even made a series of plots visualizing the impressive performance of Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. Prior to joining The Sun in 2018, she worked at Two Sigma in New York City, the Los Angeles Times in Los Angeles and the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C. She has a B.A. from Smith College and an M.A. from Columbia University.
