Modern medicine can be good at keeping us alive longer, but what about improving the days we have left? We consider the limits of modern medicine with one passionate advocate — Diane Rehm. | Want to support 1A? Give to your local public radio station at donate.npr.org/1A and subscribe to our podcast. It's not doing it for me
I'm trying to be objective, but Diane Rheme's replacement program and host just aren't doing it for me. Program content has been up and down, inconsistently good for such a prominent time slot. In a personal quibble, I have a hard time listening to the host's radio voice. It's hard to listen to with the over sharp diction. Maybe Johnson will mellow with time, but right now....the show isn't working for me.

Love It
Love the show, love the host. It was going to be impossible to replace Diane, but Joshua Johnson has done about as good a job as one could ask. Love his approach to presenting the issues he sees vital and appreciate the background he brings with him. Keep up the great work!

off the mark
I really like the weekly news round up, but every other episode just seems to be way off the mark. The name of the show should be 9c because the topics are almost never relevant to current affairs.

Great Show! Listen Daily
I love this show! They talk about real issues that can often get swept under the rug. I also enjoy the variety in diversity of panelists and topics. Great work!
