Nathan and Katie discuss running your own business, prospecting, and what it takes to prepare yourself for success.   Biggest Failure I never had a moment where I wanted to walk away. I'm a workaholic, and work has become an addiction. I believe that because of the nature of our business, what you earn is a direct reflection of your prospecting. I would say that my biggest failure, if any, is work-life balance.   Real Estate AH-HA Moment I was recently on the cover of both Kansas City Business Journal, The Kansas City Star, and INK Magazine. I would say that my favorite moment, or AH-HA moment was being at Barnes and Noble and seeing my face on two different publications behind the register at the same time. Nugget of Knowledge Stop thinking about it, and just go prospect. Just stop and try. If you dedicated the same amount of time that you are thinking about getting business to actually going out and getting business, you will see a complete turnaround. Current Business Proudest moment: Getting to 50 listings has always been a big goal for us. We've been so busy lately that we actually got to 52 listings, and didn't even realize it.  What is the one thing that excites you most about your business? We are in the process of re-branding. Updating our colors, logos, signs, and business cards. Excited to see what opportunities come with the re-brand. Our office is also growing, we are bringing on new agents to join the team. Rapid-Fire Round What was the one thing holding you back from being a top agent? I feel like I've done okay the entire time I've had a license. Sleep maybe. What was the best advice you’ve ever received? Delegate yourself out of a job.
