Physical Competence as a Spiritual Imperative
A wonderful addition to my morning. Even though some of the podcast's context doesn't apply to me, the content resonates.
Particularly, the concept that physical weakness impairs your spiritual obligation...this makes sense, as spiritual growth is a result of physical hardship. A frail body may contain a proud soul, but the good that this soul can do is limited. What is more likely is that a timid body houses a timid soul.
The second resonating point is that men of peace are most often men with great capacity for violence. I'm reminded of the old adage, "Si vis pacem, para bellum" If you want peace, prepare for war.
What we would call "weakness" in a feeble man, we call "mastery" or "self control" in a strong man.
Phenomenal episode, I'll be listening to the rest at the gym later!

Nabeel is on a journey and he is kind enough to take you with him. No matter what walk of life you come from you can learn something from the topics discussed. The way he incorporates his guests into the discussion is quite enjoyable. You can get multiple points of view and he doesn't try to crush and control. Agree or disagree, Nabeel wants you to be a better you.
A strong start with his first episode and looking forward to future installments!
