Also, a bill being introduced today in the House and Senate could finally stop the torture of American children in residential "treatment" centers, but the real story is how many of these centers are run by a financing co-chair of the Mitt Romney campaign, and owned by Bain Capital,nbsp;the venture capital firm Romney founded, which provides millions to his campaign. nbsp;It's true Romney left Bain in 1999 and Bain acquired Aspen Ranch in 2006, but how much blood money is Romney receiving? nbsp;Couldn't Romney get Bain to disassociate itself from these awful places? Here's another article on Aspen (quoted below). "State officials have told parents to remove their children from a central Oregon boarding school after investigators found students were subject to inappropriate sexual role-play, public humiliation and physical deprivation. ... Investigators found nine substantiated allegations of child abuse .... State investigators found students were required to engage in sexualized role-play and other humiliating activities, such as re-enacting past abuse, in front of staff and peers. Students were deprived of sleep or use of the bathroom. "According to investigators, discipline at the school included so-called 'bans' requiring students to go a week or longer without being allowed to talk, touch or look at others."
