Episode Info:

This week we talk to Mark Rice, one of the early members of the 80’s Hip Hop group AfroRican. While still in high school, Mark and his group created one of the hottest sounds of the era, that 15 years later was sampled by Fergie and the Black Eye Peas. We talk about the creative processes, owning your rights, and knowing when to walk away into the sunset. Of course we talk about shoes, groupies, and what its like to have your song played on the radio while you are still in High School but underneath it all, we talk about knowing what you really want out of life.
