Where it began
When I was 5 years old my friend was doing it and started off by practicing once a week. All my friends were doing it at the time.

Don’t complain and do the best of what you got. - College teammate
First time I ran a 1:47. What I was doing was worth it. Running in college was worth it.

Weak side improvement
After every run work on strides to work on speed.
Getting into the zone
Keep in mind that it’ll be over in less than two minutes.
Offseason/season workout routine
Monday and Wednesday strides and weights
Tuesday and Thursday work hard
Friday take it easy
Saturday long runs and core
Sunday take off or cross train
400m (although he would rather stay away from it)
1500m (maybe at some point, will move up to this distance)
