Episode Info:

So today is a special day, because we have Cindy Gallop in the studio. Cindy's an advertising legend; her background is over 30 years in brand-building, marketing and advertising, and the founder of MakeLoveNotPorn, a social sextech platform designed to promote good sexual behavior and good sexual values, which she launched at TED 2009.

BusinessInsider named Cindy one of 15 Most Important Marketing Strategy Thinkers Today, alongside Malcolm Gladwell and Seth Godin, and cited her as number 33 on their list of 100 Most Influential Tech Women On Twitter.

On this episode, we discuss:

  • Whether or not depictions of sex should be treated differently than depictions of pornography
  • How sex can be so mainstream and taboo at the same time, and why we need to talk about it more
  • How brands are evolving in how they think about sex and use sex as a marketing vehicle
  • How greater female representation within industries like advertising will impact how we view sex as a society

As always, we welcome your feedback. Please make sure to subscribe, rate, and review on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, and Google Play.
