The Mental Illness Spotlight
About This Show
The Mental Illness Spotlight is a podcast that fights the stigma of mental illness by featuring the stories of people with various mental health diagnoses. The podcast participants will share their experiences, discuss treatments and symptoms, take listener questions, and debunk stereotypes in order to educate community members about mental illness. This podcast is a project of Inside Our Minds, an anonymous and uncensored storytelling project working to share the experiences of people affected by mental illness in the Pittsburgh area. By sharing these stories, Inside Our Minds hopes to inspire open discussion about mental illness and foster connection among members of our community.Read more »

Sep 2, 2017
Borderline Personality Disorder is one of the most stigmatized and misunderstood mental illnesses today - which is why we’re going to speak openly about living with it! Join Inside Our Minds as our panelists, Katie, Danyelle, and Dave, discuss their personal experiences with BPD with a lot of self-deprecating humor and swearing involved.
Content warning: Descriptions of suicidal behavior, self-harm, symptoms of eating disorders, joking around about violence / “crazy people”, and lots of swearing
