Episode Info: Hello and welcome to – Recently, my wife (Angi) underwent brain surgery. It was roughly 5 years before we obtained a diagnosis, which was unbelievable to me that a person could suffer that long.  It was determined that her veins were not working on one side of her brain to help drain the fluid that protects the brain. This caused what most would call water on the brain (Brain Swelling).  This mainly occurs in traumatic injuries like motor vehicle accidents. She had not had a crash.  So, what caused it? We were unable to determine the cause, but are guessing that it was from child abuse at an early age that caused it to quit working years later.  We both went through many emotions including guilt.  Which is why I chose to audition (as an audio book narrator) for The 7 Causes of caregiver guilt.
