Episode Info: History Banter Podcast, Episode 34: A Good Day to Die (2010) LIVE! w/ Dr. Jennifer Allen, Dr. Douglas Miller, and Dr. John Gram Last month, I held a film showing and discussion panel at Brookhaven College. This was not a History Banter event, but I organized it and recorded it and it is basically a more serious version of what we normally do on the podcast. At this event, we watched the 2010 documentary film A Good Day to Die based around the life of Dennis Banks and the rise and fall of the American Indian Movement. This is a live recording of the panel, where Dr. Jennifer Allen, Dr. Douglas Miller, and Dr. John Gram discuss Native American civil rights, reservation schools, Indian identity, and the American Indian Movement. I hope you enjoy. Let us know what you think! Tweet us (@historybanter), post on our Facebook page (facebook.com/historybantercom), or email us (historybanter@gmail.com). Thanks again for listening! On the next podcast - We are not sure what it will be yet, but there will definitely be a new podcast soon! Intro music from this episode: "Hide Me in the Darkness" from Lands and Peoples by Bill Mallonee & The Big Sky Ramblers - billmalloneemusic.bandcamp.com
