Questions To Ask Before Hiring A Wedding Photographer - Part 2
EPISODE #15: WHAT TO ASK A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER BEFORE HIRING ONE PART 2 In the second episode of this two-part series about what to ask before selecting a wedding photographer, we’ll chat about some of the questions you might have regarding the wedding day itself. First and foremost, you should check in with the wedding photographer about what their approach and vision is for photographing your wedding and whether they’re going to be proactive when it comes to capturing the moments or more of a “fly on the wall”. What can you expect when it comes to family formals and bridal party portraits, and what’s their take on the “first look”? You should also ask about what they will do if you start to fall behind schedule and how they perform under stress. It’s also really important that you are on the same page about what will happen after the wedding in terms of seeing your photos. When can you expect to receive the images and through what medium? And what are you legally allowed to do with them? This is also a good time to ask about the process of having an album created and whether or not this is included in your package. Before you meet (or speak over the phone) with a wedding photographer whose work you like, jot down a few questions that you’d like to ask so you’re prepared when the time comes. Most wedding photographers understand the investment you’re making in them and will be more than happy to answer your questions. But if they’re not, then consider looking elsewhere.
