So it was a good day for Dems, and seemingly a very troubling omen for Trump and the GOP in 2018.  Meanwhile, Congressional Republicans have made clear they will take no action to address the epidemic of gun violence in America, but legal reporter MARK JOSEPH STERN of Slate has an idea that Democratically-controlled states could implement immediately that would help victims of gun violence and their families afford exorbitant medical and funeral bills that run nearly $3 billion a year -- without running afoul of the Second Amendment or the federal shield law (PLCAA) that grants legal immunity to the gun industry at all levels.Read more »
