Episode Info: New Orleans and the Gulf Coast appear to have dodged a bullet, for the most part, with Hurricane Nate, the fourth hurricane to make landfall in the U.S. in the past six weeks, bringing heavy rains but less damage than feared.  There are still two more months in the official hurricane season to go.  Millions are still struggling to rebuild from the recent storms Harvey, Irma and Maria, especially in Puerto Rico, where most of the power remains out more than two weeks since Maria made landfall. The West Coast is seeing yet another disturbing reminder of global warming over Sunday and into Monday -- as of air time, at least 1,500 homes and commercial building have been destroyed in wildfires that broke out late Sunday night, sending tens of thousands evacuating across eight counties in Northern California's wine country, many of them dodging flames and very gusty winds in the middle of the night. Another massive blaze erupted and is threatening homes and business in Southern California on Monday as well.  All signs of a warming planet, not only being ignored but exacerbated by the Trump Administration, which announced plans on Monday to reverse President Obama's 'Clean Power Plan', intended to meet U.S. commitments to the Paris Climate Agreement between some 200 nations. The Administration announced their intent to drop out of the Paris pact earlier this year.  So, even as the media, Congress, and the public remain continuously obsessed and distracted by Donald Trump's Twitter feed, his radical hard-right agenda stays on target on issues both foreign and domestic.
