What's one word you think of when you think about love?

For my guest today, her earliest memories of what she thought love was centered around anxiety and feeling uncomfortable. Later, as she began dating, she found herself in a cycle of toxic relationships.

Stephanie McPhail is a mom, wife, transformational life coach, and a domestic abuse survivor.

She has a Bachelor's in Psychology and a double Masters in Education and health from Hofstra University.

Her experience working as a specialist, trainer, and educator for a crisis intervention and suicide prevention hotline led to her passion for educating people on how to live their most fulfilling lives.

Realizing a greater calling to inspire others, after she overcame her own personal hardships, she became a Transformational Life Coach and certified Dream Coach.

I’m continuing the February theme surrounding all things love by bringing on Stephanie to share her dramatic story and her incredible transformation of learning how to love herself, her spouse, and her children.

Stephanie’s story is intense and may be difficult to hear. But I think it’s valuable to share stories like Stephanie’s for many reasons.

Learn. Be encouraged. Grow in your compassion for what may be going on behind closed doors, either now or has in the past, for moms you know.

We talk about:

  • Her journey from extremely low self-esteem and a toxic mindset about love to having a healthy marriage with two little kids
  • What led to her initial cycle of toxic relationships
  • Her terrifying experience in an emotionally and physically abusive relationship
  • Lessons she’s learned through her journey of healing
  • How to work through self-doubt as a mom
  • And she also shares a unique way she practices self-care
