Episode Info: Welcome to the 57th episode of Giving Back Insights, my Thursday solo show where I talk about how our guests and their charities serve others, to explore actions each of can take to make a difference in people’s lives and to share. Today I’m discussing Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., his life, his lessons and his legacy. Listen to today’s episode and don’t forget to give your feedback and valuable comment. Enjoy! Key Takeaways: Last show I mentioned starting 2018 by stretching outside of my comfort zone: my first FB Live and I recorded a show at the same time. Not as bad as I thought once I got started, like most obstacles. This is a great lesson for me: Think of where I would be if I’d started FB Live on 4th of July like I wanted! So here we go, let’s do it again and see what happens. I’m a big fan of trying things twice, the second time around to make sure the first time wasn’t a fluke. Recording the Giving Back Insights show live and in the video felt pretty good, so let’s have another go, shall we? Today’s show is about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., his life, his lessons and his legacy. He said "Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'" That’s a big question and big bold statement for any of us. And it leaves me thinking: How can I be of service to others? I am surrounded by greatness, those who serve others and make a difference in so many lives. Remarkable: kind, smart, hard-working and ambitious. I see myself best served by helping them to grow their service mission, to serve MORE people. My role is the Storyteller, being mindful of my mission to serve and mindful of my audience to effectively draw them into the stories of kindness that change the world. Remember: Always err on the side of love & kindness.
