The first American to scam a Nigerian

In this episode we chat about the current trend of faking hate crimes.  Why would someone do this?  It’s surprisingly more common than you might think.

In the current victim culture climate, a ‘victim’ will always need a ‘victimiser’ and if there isn’t one, well just pay a couple of lads to ‘oppress’ you*.

Begum all you want love, you’re not coming home.

At 15, Shamima Begum left her home in the Bethnal Green district in London to join ISIL (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) in Syria.  After ISIL forces were defeated she was found in a Syrian refugee camp where she told reporters that she wanted to return to her place of birth, the UK.

Should we let someone back into a country which she essentially pledged to destroy?  Or is she a victim of grooming by ISIL herself?

Blue in the face

In this post Obama, hyper racialised world we currently live in, is a white person portraying a black person offensive?  Many celebrities including Robert Downey Jr and Jimmy Kimmel have made themselves look black with makeup, Sarah Silverman actually donned blackface for her comedy show.  Also the character Pappa Lazarou from the League of Gentlemen.

The previous examples all fall under the category of comedy, which usually has no rules but what about the Dutch festival that Luxy mentions, Zwarte Piet (Black Pete)?
