Episode Info:

Sarah Schulweis is one of those people who can best be described as magnetic. She's smart, confident, honest, and vulnerable. If I lived in Oakland, I'd make her hang out with me all the time just so I could learn from her. She's the founder of Anchor & Orbit (andchorand orbit.com), a business consultancy that helps growing businesses set up processes, systems, and a realistic plan to reach their most meaningful goals. She acts as a hired operational co-founder, more or less. She also runs a four-month program + guide at a lower cost than 1:1 consulting. The applications for that are open now till Monday - check it out! Having trained as a dancer, gone to school for entrepreneurship, worked in PR and marketing, and experienced her fair share of compromising situations thanks to injuries, Sarah's story has a lot of twists and turns. Today, she's been successfully consulting with small businesses in rad industries for five years. We talk a lot about making ends meet in hard times, having faith in yourself, getting real about your finances, and balancing the fun and not-so-fun parts of running a business.
