The onset of mental illness can upend our lives in many ways. In this episode, we speak with a young man living with schizophrenia and hear about the impact it has had on him and his family. He describes his life before his diagnosis and the first symptoms of what would turn out to be schizophrenia. In addition to sharing the trauma of this diagnosis, he speaks of his treatment and how, in hopes of joining the Army, he stopped his treatment (with predictable results).
