EF 40 - Transforming Organizations To Be More Equitable, with Aruna Rao
May 16 14
In many countries, there have been significant advances in public policy and an increase in the number of organizations working to address gender inequities. Despite this, we are not seeing the outcomes for women that we hope for or expect. This is in large part due to how gender biases are still built into the very organizations whose mission it is to bring about social change.
In this podcast, Sandra Kim and Aruna Rao discuss how organizations can transform their institutional practices to bemore equitable, based on her experience at Gender at Work. Gender at Work works with organizations to analyze their unquestioned, “normal” way of working by looking at its values, history, culture, and practices and then helps them find customized strategies to create greater gender equity.
