Episode Info: How many times have you been told to think big, to take massive leaps in your business, etc? I know over the years, I've heard these or similar statements countless times, but forcing yourself to think big or take massive steps is stressful and isn't necessary. Oh yeah, I said it! It's time to think small!  So in today's podcast I'm going to outline why thinking small is essential to building a big business. I use the example of building the foundations of a house to illustrate the importance of not rushing the foundation stage of building your business. And, why it's important to look at the story behind anyone else's business before you try copying their business model. My Quote For Today"Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin" Zechariah 4:10 (New Living Translation) Yes, it's taken from the Bible, but there's no preaching to go with it. :-) Links I Mention In This Episode Sandi Krakowski - A Real Change Here I talk about how Sandi Krakowski has gone back to her first love ... her kitchenware and coffee business - The Krak Haus Koffee Shop. But what she's created now is more focused, bigger and better than where she first started.  Suggested Action For Building A Better Business My suggestion is that you get yourself a journal and write in big, bold letters, your BIG WHY?  You want to keep in mind at all times, why you started your business, and at the end of the day, you want to ask whether the actions you took were commensurate with your big why. Not only will it keep you focused on what's important, you'll release yourself from activities that will move you away from building your business. Want your questions in upcoming podcast episodes answered? First of all, thank you for listening to today's podcast.
