This week we talk to Lee Rosenburg about emergency management at the ports. Ports around the world are very important. World commerce goes and comes through our ports. If for whatever reason, natural or man-made we need to take emergency management of our ports seriously.

Lee Rosenberg is a small business owner and entrepreneur.  Lee is the Sole Proprietor of Navigating Preparedness Associates, LLC, a Californian certified Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE). Accomplished executive and leader with over 30 years of experience. Proven record of executing a full range of business functions including leadership, operations, strategic planning, logistics, finance, and business development. Senior emergency preparedness and homeland security professional with decades of real-world contingency and operational response experience. Served as a Federal Coordinating Officer for FEMA Region IX providing Federal assistance of states after Presidentially declared disasters. Supported national-level planning for pandemic response and incident-specific contingencies. Served 30 years in the Navy and retired at the rank of Captain. Extensive background in field leadership, emergency operations center processes, emergency response operations, risk assessments, training and exercises, and coordinating the efforts of private industry, and local, State and Federal agencies during disaster response and recovery.
